New Weekly Weekly Motif {Storytelling} Featuring Guest Judge:
Karen Long Photography

Meet the Judge:

My name is Karen long, I am based in North Wales, UK. Having been a hobbyist for many years, I decided to take the plunge and start my own business when my little girl Florence was born, my husband encouraged me to go for it, and boy am I glad I did. I am self taught and love to utilize the magical scenery and light that North Wales has to offer, I am surrounded by beautiful, mystical valleys, mountains and lush green grass (thanks to the amount of rain we have) I primarily shoot portraiture, but sometimes like to push myself out of my comfort zone and shoot something entirely different. I am totally self taught canon Girl and currently shoot with a 6D, I have an array of lenses in my bag, but I always seem to end up with my 85mm 1.8. I am grateful to the path that photography has led me on, I have, and continue to meet so many photographers who encourage and inspire me to be the very best I can be, I also have met some lovely clients, many of whom have become personal friends, there is no feeling on early like knowing you have captured something truly special, that moment in time that can never be re-created. ~ Karen

Artist Inspiration:

Stories, books, and novels can inspire our creativity in ways we could never imagine. Karen explained how this photo shoot reminded her of the scenery described in the novel, Withering Heights. And then an idea was born. Of course, every single motif we introduce is up for interpretation. Whether you are recreating a scene or everyday life {Storytelling}, the possibilities are endless. #BringIT ~ The Artistic Tog
